J. Alton Bivens

Mr. Bivens’ practice focuses on taxation law, corporate and business transactions, and probate and estate planning.
He graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Wofford College in 1974. Mr. Bivens received a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1995, where he was a three times Dean’s List Honoree. He received a Masters in Taxation Law from New York University in 1996. Mr. Bivens is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the Richland County Bar Association.
