Ms. Downs’ practice focuses on employment law and civil litigation.

She graduated magna cum laude from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Ms. Downs received a Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law where she was a senior staff member of the Richmond Journal of Law & Technology. She received the CALI Award in Labor Law as well as the ABA Award for Excellence in the field of Labor & Employment Law. Ms. Downs is a member of the Mecklenburg County Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys.
