McAngus Goudelock & Courie, a regional insurance defense firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Leslie M. Simpson to the firm’s workers’ compensation team in Columbia.
Simpson earned her Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Claflin University. Prior to joining MGC, she served as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Senate Judiciary Committee, concentrating on workers’ compensation, the children’s code and domestic relations. Simpson is a member of the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association and the South Carolina Bar Association, where she is a part of the Young Lawyers Division. She serves on the SC Bar Association’s Color of Justice Committee and Diversity Committee. Simpson is also a cheerleading coach at Claflin University, serves as the Cheerleading Conference Chair for the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
