McAngus Goudelock & Courie, LLC congratulates attorney Tina Herbert for her selection to the Columbia Business Journal’s ‘20 Under 40’ Class of 2008. She has been recognized for her continuous commitment to excellence and community service through her involvement in nonprofit organizations, charities, and schools in the Midlands.
Tina practices in the area of workers’ compensation defense and she is a certified circuit court mediator. She served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Alison Lee and as an assistant public defender in the Office of the Richland County Public Defender. Prior to joining MG&C, Tina was an associate with the Benjamin Law Firm where her practice emphasized general business matters, litigation (civil and criminal), nonprofit administration, and employment matters. In 2006, the Wills Project for Senior Citizens that Tina spearheaded won the South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Award, and she was recently named South Carolina Young Lawyer of the Year by the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division. Additionally, the Columbia City Council appointed Tina to the Design, Development and Review Commission which reviews and approves work proposed within the city’s historic districts, urban design areas, and upon designated landmarks.
