History
Founded in 1995, MG&C began in Columbia, SC as a boutique law firm practicing primarily in the defense of workers’ compensation cases. To continue serving the growing needs of our clients, we hired experienced attorneys in various practice areas and expanded our capabilities. We also opened five additional offices strategically located across the Carolinas: Charlotte, NC (1998), Charleston, SC (2001), Greenville, SC (2004), Raleigh, NC (2005), and Myrtle Beach, SC (2009). In fourteen years, our firm has grown from four to more than one hundred attorneys. MG&C, a full-service law firm, now offers comprehensive legal services in Administrative & Regulatory law, ADR, Appellate Advocacy, Business Litigation, Captive Insurance, Commercial Transactions, Construction law, Employment law, Environmental law, Litigation, Probate & Estate Planning, Real Estate, Utilities, and Workers’ Compensation.
- March 1995:
- MG&C opens as a small, boutique law firm in Columbia, SC with four attorneys and four support staff.
Total Attorneys: 4 - October 1998:
- MG&C expands to a full-service law firm and establishes its Charlotte, NC office.
Total Attorneys: 12 - June 2001:
- MG&C extends its services to the coast of South Carolina by opening its Charleston office.

- MG&C expands into upstate South Carolina by opening an office in Greenville.

- MG&C Celebrates 10 Successful Years.
