Derek M. Zisser

Derek Zisser has over a decade of experience litigating high exposure construction, premises liability, products liability and transportation cases. “I go above and beyond for my clients by learning their business, as well as their methods and operating procedures, so that I can understand the big picture instead of just focusing on the events leading to a lawsuit,” he says. “Gaining a total understanding of my clients and their work not only assists me in analyzing the alleged accident or occurrence that led to the lawsuit, but ensures effective and efficient representation in responding to discovery and dealing with various employees or members of the company.”

Prior to joining MGC, he focused on automobile, complex multi-party litigation, construction, general liability, products liability, as well as transportation and trucking matters at an insurance defense litigation firm. He also previously served as assistant editor of the bi-annual Labor Law Update, which examined the latest developments regarding New York’s Labor Law and construction accidents.

Derek is a dad to three children, including twins. Outside of MGC, he enjoys running, going to the beach, listening to live music, and cheering on the NY Rangers as well as the Liverpool Football Club.
