Janine McKinnon’s practice primarily focuses on trucking, construction and premises liability in the firm’s Atlanta office. For over a decade, she has represented insurers and their insureds in business litigation, bad faith litigation, commercial/personal auto accidents, negligent security, wrongful death, construction defect and liability matters for the construction, hospitality, restaurant, retail and transportation/trucking industries. Janine has successfully tried cases involving business litigation, family law and personal injury in Alabama. “I go above and beyond by regularly and clearly communicating strategy and case developments to my clients,” she says. “I also make myself available for clients after normal business hours for emergencies or other important matters that cannot wait.”

Prior to joining MGC, Janine practiced at a prominent personal injury firm based in Birmingham, Alabama where she negotiated pre-suit settlements and litigated premises liability, automobile accident, product liability, nursing home and medical malpractice cases. Before that time, she started a solo practice and focused on start-ups and small businesses, estate planning, family law, civil litigation and real estate matters for out-of-state investors. Prior to her solo career, Janine practiced at an Am Law 100 firm based in Birmingham, Alabama, where she was a member of the firm’s Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Group and the General Litigation Group. She gained invaluable litigation and trial experience handling cases in both state and federal court in more than 12 states, across the country.

Outside of MGC, Janine enjoys spending time with her son, distance running and traveling. She has also been a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. for over 20 years.
