Joe Hemleben’s practice focuses on premises liability, transportation and trucking in the firm’s Jackson office. He strives to provide practical advice, zealous representation, and aims for the most cost-effective and best outcome for his clients.

Prior to joining MGC, Joe served as deputy executive director for Mississippi Veterans Affairs, and as a special assistant attorney general with the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office. Following law school, Joe was a judicial law clerk at the Mississippi Court of Appeals. In 2019, he was one of 20 accepted into the Mississippi Bar’s Leadership Forum, which prepares lawyers for future opportunities in leadership roles.  Joe is currently an officer in the US Air Force Reserve and was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 2004 to 2011.

Outside of the office, Joe enjoys reading, writing and working in the yard. He and his wife, Emiko, live in Madison, Mississippi with their son, Watt, and an assortment of dogs.
