Melissa’s practice focuses on general litigation, commercial litigation, construction and premises liability in the firm’s Asheville office. While in law school and post-graduation, she gained experience in residential real estate law and family law. “Learning different areas of law has allowed me to work with different clientele where I can adjust and be there for each client no matter what issue they have in their matter,” adds Melissa.
“I’m empathetic and passionate about each case I work on in ensuring my clients feel their rights are being advocated for,” says Melissa. “I understand retaining a lawyer can be stressful and costly, keeping that in mind I utilize every minute of my time sufficiently when I do any kind of work on a matter. I am also someone who can take my lawyer hat off and just listen to my clients concerns when they are stressed about issues we are both working to resolve.”
Melissa is a native New Yorker who made the move to North Carolina in 2017. Outside of MGC, she enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants to satisfy her “foodie cravings” as well as exploring western North Carolina and the low country with her friends and fiancé. Melissa’s favorite seasons are summer and fall, and she can be found listening to live music on the beach or with cider in-hand.
