With over a decade of experience, Ben Woody is a seasoned trial attorney who focuses on the defense of catastrophic personal injury, property damage claims and insurance coverage disputes throughout state and federal courts in Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He has tried over 100 cases to verdict and successfully resolved hundreds of additional matters through motions, mediation and arbitration, achieving favorable outcomes in complex, high-stakes litigation.

Beyond his legal practice, Ben is actively engaged in several professional organizations, contributing to the advancement of his field. He is the co-chair of the Transportation and Admiralty Section of the Virginia Bar Association, a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice's Admiralty and Maritime Law Committee and the former chair of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys' Products and Toxic Torts Section.

Ben has written extensively on civil litigation, admiralty and maritime law and insurance law, with articles published in respected journals such as the ABA TIPS Law Journal, Tulane Maritime Law Journal, University of San Francisco Maritime Law Journal and the Journal of Civil Litigation. He also contributed for six years to the ABA's Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal, providing insights on recent developments in admiralty and maritime law. In addition, Ben regularly presents at seminars and conferences, addressing key legal issues for organizations such as the American Bar Association and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
