Supporting our Troops
The MGC Long Run
Since 2014, MGC has teamed up with a number of corporate supporters to contribute more than $200,000 to nonprofit organizations, including the USO South Carolina, through the MGC Long Run, a road race comprised of a 15k, 5k, Virtual 5k and Kids’ Fun Run in Columbia, SC, the first weekend in February. The event brings together more than 800 runners and walkers, and 150 volunteers, on a chilly winter morning to celebrate and honor those that serve our country.
Wreaths Across America
Wreaths Across America’s (WAA) mission is to remember our fallen US veterans, honor those who serve and teach children the value of freedom. Team MGC began supporting WAA in the fall of 2022 by raising more than $9,000 to sponsor veterans’ wreaths at cemeteries across our firm’s footprint. Our employees also joined supporters across the country on Saturday, December 17, 2022, as volunteers to lay wreaths on veterans graves. We look forward to continuing to support WAA in 2023.
Local Office Charitable Giving Programs
We are extremely fortunate to be a part of so many different communities across our footprint. Through our “Let’s Go Local!” program, we are able to support local nonprofit organizations through our time, dollars and donations. A dedicated group of volunteers in each office organizes the fundraising and/or volunteer efforts, and nonprofits vary by office.
