Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims Cancels all In-Person Benefit Review Conferences and Formal Hearings Through May 17, 2020

On Thursday, March 12, 2020, the Kentucky Department of Workers’ Claims (DWC) issued a statement cancelling all in-person benefit review conferences and formal hearings. Initially, the cancellation was through April 20, 2020, but is now extended through May 17, 2020.

In an effort to address the claims with cancelled hearings, the DWC is permitting videoconference proceedings. Once a secure method to conduct proceedings is implemented, any counsel wishing to participate in a hearing via videoconference should contact the assigned administrative law judge to schedule.
