COLUMBIA, SC – Law firm McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is pleased to announce the five recipients of the 2023 MGC Law Student Diversity Scholarship. Introduced in 2021, the scholarship provides diverse law students with access to opportunities that will aid in their development as legal professionals. “MGC is pleased to extend the Law Student Diversity Scholarship into its third year,” says MGC managing member Jay Courie. “The firm’s recognition of these talented students reflects our commitment to ensuring diversity, equity and inclusion is at the forefront of MGC, as well as the legal community. It is with great enthusiasm that I congratulate our 2023 recipients.”
The program awarded $2,500 to each recipient for the 2023-2024 school year. “I am delighted that the firm is able to offer scholarships to these amazing law students,” says Belong @ MGC chair Lynn Olmert. “Every year, I continue be so impressed and in awe when I interview the applicants and read their statements. We are so honored to help them with a portion of their law school expenses and equally excited about all they have to offer our profession.
