McAngus Goudelock & Courie, a regional insurance defense firm, is pleased to announce the addition of eight attorneys to its newest office in Atlanta. Seven attorneys joined the office's workers' compensation defense team and one attorney joined the firm's litigation team. The Atlanta office opened in June of 2016.

Lynn Olmert’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense in the firm’s Atlanta office. She has extensive trial experience in general liability cases on behalf of insurance companies and their commercial insureds in both Georgia and Maryland. Lynn has significant first-chair jury trial experience and has tried numerous workers’ compensation cases. She frequently presents on workers’ compensation issues to employers, insurers and colleagues at the State Bar of Georgia. Lynn was selected to the Governor’s short list of nominees for the position of Administrative Law Judge for the Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation. Prior to joining MGC, Lynn practiced law in both Atlanta and the Baltimore-Washington area. Lynn is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section - Chair), College of Workers' Compensation Laywers (Fellow), State Bar of Georgia (Workers' Compensation Section - Past Chair), Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Gate City Bar Association and Claims and Litigation Management Alliance.

Chris Whitlock’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense in the firm’s Atlanta office. He has experience representing numerous insurance companies, self-insured employers and third-party administrators in workers’ compensation claims, as well as subrogation litigation against third-party tortfeasers. Prior to joining MGC, Chris practiced workers’ compensation and litigation in the Atlanta area. Chris is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, American Bar Association, Brainard Currie Honor Society, Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) and Georgia Self-Insurers Association (GSIA).

Carrie Annis’ practice focuses on insurance defense, representing employers and insurers in workers’ compensation cases. Carrie practiced workers’ compensation and liability in the Atlanta area prior to joining MGC. She has experience handling numerous claims in administrative court, as well as attending mediations and taking depositions on behalf of employers and insurers. Carrie is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section), DeKalb County Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association (Workers' Compensation Section, Young Lawyers' Division) and Claims & Litigation Management Alliance.

Evan Beauchamp’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation in the firm’s Atlanta office. Prior to joining MGC, he practiced workers’ compensation defense in the Atlanta area. He also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Alford A. Dempsey of the Superior Court of Fulton County. Evan is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and Atlanta Bar Association.

 

T.R. Cook’s practice focuses on defending employers and insurers in workers’ compensation cases. Prior to joining MGC, T.R. practiced workers’ compensation defense in the Atlanta area. He has also practiced on the plaintiff side representing clients in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases. T.R. began his legal career as a criminal defense attorney, representing clients accused of crimes throughout Georgia in State, Superior and Federal courts. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.

Gabrielle Holland’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense in the firm’s Atlanta office. Prior to joining MGC, she practiced workers’ compensation in the Atlanta area.

 

 

David Lin’s practice focuses on general liability, business litigation and professional liability. Prior to joining MGC, David handled complex civil litigation matters in state and federal court and in arbitration, specializing in representing corporations and individuals in professional liability litigation, business and insurance litigation. David has worked on matters involving professional liability, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, insurance claims alleging bad faith, breach of contract, business torts, premises liability and other complex, large exposure matters. David is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association and Korean American Bar Association - Georgia.

Mark Potter's practice focuses on workers' compensation defense. Mark previously practiced in the Atlanta area. He also clerked in Northeast Georgia for the Honorable B. Chan Caudell and the Honorable Russell W. Smith, two Superior Court judges of Georgia’s Mountain Circuit. Mark is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Atlanta Bar Association.
