He received a Bachelor of Arts from North Carolina State University and a Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law. Prior to joining the MGC, McLawhorn interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office and the Wake County District Attorney’s Office. He is an Eagle Scout, the highest ranking earned in Boys Scouts of America.
