McAngus Goudelock & Courie, a regional insurance defense firm, has opened offices in Memphis, Tennessee, and Oxford, Mississippi.

For 19 years, MGC has been a Carolinas firm, with eight offices in North and South Carolina. Today, the firm has more than 130 attorneys in ten offices across the Southeast.

Oxford, Mississippi

Jay Atkins’ practice focuses on construction litigation, premises liability, products liability and transportation law. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Oxford/Lafayette County Bar Association, Mississippi Trucking Association, Memphis Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association. He was recognized by Mississippi Super Lawyers magazine in 2013 as a Rising Star.

Case Embry’s practice focuses on insurance defense litigation, including workers’ compensation defense and general liability defense. He is President of the Lafayette County Bar Association and is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and Tennessee Bar Association. Embry has been recognized as a Mid-South Super Lawyers Rising Star and a Memphis-area Young Lawyers Top Attorney.

Candice Hargett’s practice focuses on workers’ compensation defense and general litigation, including construction, product liability, transportation, premises liability and other personal injury matters.
