RICHMOND, VA – Law firm McAngus Goudelock & Courie (MGC) is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Michele Wojcik to their Richmond office, with a practice focused on bad faith, insurance coverage, litigation as well as management and professional liability. For over two decades, Wojcik has represented the interests of the insurance industry. She is proficient in all facets of insurance coverage, including personal lines, commercial lines, professional lines and specialty lines. Wojcik has defended insurance carriers against extracontractual claims, provided counsel on coverage obligations and litigated issues concerning duty to defend and indemnify. Additionally, she has represented attorneys and other professionals in professional liability claims and general defense matters, including complex claims. Wojcik routinely handles appeals that arise in cases and has argued before the Appellate Court and Supreme Court of Connecticut. 

Wojcik earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Central Connecticut University. She frequently shares her insights to clients and national organizations, including CLM, NBI and the American Bar Association, on issues of insurance coverage and avoiding extracontractual claims. Wojcik is a fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel, serves as co-chair on CLM's Insurance Coverage Committee and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association as well as the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. She is also a volunteer with Nutmeg Big Brothers Big Sisters.
