NC Industrial Commission Amends Filing and Contact Information Requirements

Effective December 1, 2018, Industrial Commission Rules have been amended to provide the following:

  1. Medical motions and Form 19s (including lung disease and non-insured claims) are no longer exempt from the Industrial Commission EDFP filing requirement, and can therefore no longer be filed via e-mail.
  2. All insurance carriers, third-party administrators and uninsured employers, each of whom are required to maintain with the Commission a designated primary contact person, must now provide this information to the Industrial Commission on an annual basis on July 1 via email to rule302@ic.nc.gov. The requirement to provide any updates or changes to this information within 30 days remains unchanged.
