Meet Hannah Marrero, MGC Columbia litigation support assistant and United States Army veteran.

Where did you serve?
"Fort Knox, Kentucky"

Why did you join?
"I joined the Army because I wanted to serve my country and do something great, while also building a future for myself. I chose to be a paralegal because I wanted to be an advocate for my fellow Soldiers and be able to assist their families in legal matters."

What was your training experience like?
"My training was a once in a lifetime experience! I met a lot of amazing people that I am now able to call my brothers and sisters. Training instilled a discipline that I had not had before, and I am grateful for my Drill Sergeants in that respect."

Tell us about some of your most memorable experiences.
"One of my most memorable experiences was being able to go to Germany and do my job while also having the time of my life exploring the country! Another one of my most memorable experiences was being able to jump out of a plane and parachute with the Army Golden Knights!"

How did your service and experiences affect your life?
"While being in the Army, I was able to gain so many life experiences that I would have not had otherwise. I was able to travel, meet a ton of new people, and get my school paid for! I also met my husband and now we have an amazing son together!"
