Meet MGC Columbia legal assistant, Sergeant Jasmine Felipe of the Army National Guard.

“The military has hands down been the best experience of my life thus far. I have made incredible friendships. I have had to work outside of my comfort zone, which has made me grow as a person. I have had the opportunity to experience things that would not have been possible without the military. It has given me some of my best memories. I am proud to serve my country and will continue to do so for as long as I can."

Jasmine is an E5 in the South Carolina Army National Guard. She is a Military Police Officer and is based out of the West Columbia MP Unit. Jasmine most recently attended HAZMAT training for her unit becoming one of the few that are certified in the area. Throughout the COVID pandemic, she was put on orders for months on end to help set up mobile hospitals for the state and help manage the South Carolina Department of Corrections prison systems. Jasmine has been activated for hurricanes and was also deployed to Guantanamo Bay where, as a Military Police Officer, her duty was to secure and guard the prison containing Al Qaeda, ISIS and Taliban members, as well as other United States military prisoners.
