PHILADELPHIA, PA – Attorney Hillary Ladov in MGC’s Philadelphia office was appointed to the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Board of Governors for a three-year term. “It’s no secret I grew up in the Philadelphia Bar Association,” she writes in her candidate statement. “While my formal service began during law school as the Brandeis Law Society Liaison to the [Young Lawyers Division], my informal service began in 1995, watching my mother, Sayde Ladov, run for Board of Governors. Now 27 years later, another Ladov will serve on the Board of Governors. We serve under the shared belief that it is a privilege to be a lawyer and with this privilege comes the responsibility of service to our community. In 2020, I had the distinct honor of serving as [Young Lawyers Division] Chair during the COVID-19 pandemic. I carry the lessons learned that year with me as I embark on this next chapter of leadership.”

For nearly a decade, Hillary Ladov has represented insurance industry clients in a variety of coverage matters. Her practice includes insurance coverage counseling and litigation, bad faith, professional liability and commercial litigation. Ladov has extensive experience handling complex insurance cases in state and federal courts throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also serves on the board of directors of the Lawyers’ Club of Philadelphia and Justice at Work.

Hillary Ladov earned a dual Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College. In 2017, she received the Joseph H. Foster Young Lawyer Award by the Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel for her exemplary professionalism, ethical practice and dedication as defense counsel. Ladov has also been recognized for her pro bono efforts by the Philadelphia Bar Association and Rutgers University School of Law, and has been named a Rising Star in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers since 2019.

The mission of the Philadelphia Bar Association is to serve the profession and the public by promoting justice, professional excellence and respect for the rule of law. In so doing, the Association strives to foster understanding of, involvement in and access to the justice system.
